CHOQUEQUIRAO:  04 DAYS And 03 NIGHTS

FIRST DAY: ABANCAY - CACHORA - SANTA ROSA

Very early, we leave and go to the community of San Pedro de Cachora. After checking all the camping equipment, such as mules and horses that will support the expedition, we start the walk to take a tour of approx. 21 km. The journey will last about 09 hours through the villages of Huayhuacalle, Tinajayoc, Cocamasana, Torwisqana and Chiquisqa, where we rest briefly. At noon we reach the Apurimac River, where we will receive a good lunch. Once we have new energies and after a short break, we will begin the ascent to Santa Rosa, the camp place where we will stay overnight.

SECOND DAY: SANTA ROSA - CHOQUEQUIRAO
Very early and right after having breakfast, we depart to our destination.  At mid-morning we will make our triumphant entrance to the citadel and we will tour inch by inch all the archeological complex, then go toward Raqaypata where we will camp, dine and pass the night the under the shelter of the moon and the stars you will feel very near at this altitude.

THIRD DAY: CHOQUEQUIRAO - CHIQUISQA
After breakfast we initiate our return, which will be a journey of approximately 8 hours. We will descend by the same path that brought us to Choquequirao. We will rest in Playa Rosalina, a beautiful place at an altitude of to 1950 m. where we will have lunch and then continue to Chiquisqa, a beautiful place where we will stay overnight.

- FOURTH DAY: CHIQUISQA - CACHORA - ABANCAY

After-breakfast we initiate our return, which will be a journey of approximately 8 hours. We will be able to appreciate again the majestic Padrayoc snowcapped mountain that embellishes the Apurímac Canyon, as well as all the variety of fauna and flora that offer the different ecological zones.

Finally arrive to San Pedro de Cachora, take our lunch to continue our return to the city of Abancay.
